Dunukofia indigenes congratulate Gov. Soludo on re-election

The people of Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra,  have congratulated Gov. Chukwuma Soludo on his re-election.

This is contained in a statement on Tuesday by the Deputy Chairman, Dunukofia Traditional Rulers Council, Igwe Emeka Ilouno, on their  behalf.

Ilouno, who is also the traditional ruler of Ifitedunu Ancient Kingdom in Dunukofia,  described Soludo’s re-election as a clear admiration of  his visionary leadership.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that INEC on Nov. 9,  declared Soludo winner of the gubernatorial election held in the state on Nov. 8.

Soludo polled 422,664 votes to beat his rivals from the APC, Labour Party, PDP and  candidates of other political parties that contested the election.

According to him, Soludo’s overwhelming mandate is a clear and powerful testament to the trust, admiration, and appreciation the good people of Anambra have for his  visionary leadership.

“Your unwavering commitment to building a liveable and prosperous destination state is appreciated.

“In Dunukofia, we remain especially grateful for your productive partnership with our dynamic and result-driven local government area.

“We acknowledged with deep appreciation,  your impactful investments in road infrastructure across Ifitedunu, Ukpo, Nawgu, Umunnachi (earmarked), and Umudioka communities of the council area.

“The revitalisation of schools; posting of qualified teachers; and employment of many of our sons and daughters into the state’s educational workforce are hugely appreciated,” he stated.

The traditional ruler noted that Dunukofia people are delighted that Soludo found several illustrious individuals from their clan,  worthy to serve in his high-performing team.

He stressed that their appointments into his cabinet remained a source of pride and encouragement to the entire Dunukofia people.

“As you prepare to embark on your second tenure, we respectfully remind you of the major developmental projects you graciously promised us, particularly the Export Emporium at Ukpo/Ukwulu axis and the Industrial Park at Ifitedunu;

“We call for the construction of a major interconnecting road linking Ukpo , Abba (in Njikoka), Ifitedunu, Umudioka, Ogbunike in Oyi  and Ogidi, in Idemili North.

” We also call for conversion of the well-equipped Advanced Skills Acquisition Centre, Ifitedunu, into a fully functional Technical/Trade Institution. We trust in your commitment to these transformative initiatives,” he added.

The traditional ruler  prayed that God should continue to endow the governor with exceptional wisdom, courage, and strength in his quest  to  transform  Anambra into the Dubai–Taiwan of Africa.  (NAN)
