A wave of political enthusiasm is set to sweep across Abia State as the Obidient Movement prepares to stage a massive One Million Man March in honor of Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate. Scheduled for Friday, July 19—coinciding with Obi’s birthday—the march will unfold simultaneously across four key towns: Umuahia, Aba, Ohafia, and Uzuakoli.

Organizers say the event is more than a show of numbers; it’s a statement of unwavering loyalty to Obi’s political vision and ideals. Chibuzor Obiesili, a state coordinator of the movement, alongside Christian Emmanuel, Head of Media and Publicity, described the march as part of a larger effort to renew public faith in a leadership model centered on transparency, compassion, and development.

The movement also expressed enthusiastic support for Obi’s recent alignment with the African Democratic Congress (ADC), calling it an “organic coalition” capable of uniting Nigerians under a common cause. In their view, the ADC offers a credible path forward for Obi’s anticipated 2027 presidential run.

“Obi has always championed unity, even in the face of adversity. He’s committed to building bridges that can carry the weight of Nigeria’s hopes,” the organizers said in a public statement.

Beyond the rally, members of the Obidient Movement will engage in a series of community outreach efforts across Abia. They plan to visit prisons, hospitals, and care centers for vulnerable populations—bringing aid, encouragement, and a message of solidarity to those often overlooked.

Since its rise during the 2023 elections, the Obidient Movement has grown into a formidable voice for reform, transparency, and youth empowerment. As July 19 approaches, Abia braces for what promises to be a powerful expression of political commitment—and a birthday celebration unlike any other.
