A recent operation by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has led to the discovery of an illegal storage point for suspected stolen crude oil in Rivers State. The illegal storage facility, located in Adobi Forest, Odagwa Community, Etche LGA, was found to be channeling the stolen oil to an illegal refining cooking site.

The NSCDC’s Special Intelligence Squad (SIS) made the discovery, uncovering a large quantity of crude oil packaged in cellophane nylons, jerrycans, and dug-in reservoirs. The illegal operation is believed to be the work of oil thieves and vandals who have been sabotaging the country’s oil infrastructure.

The NSCDC has vowed to crack down on such illegal activities, which have been costing the country millions of dollars in lost revenue. The Corps has also warned that anyone found to be involved in such illegal operations will face the full weight of the law.

This discovery is a significant breakthrough in the fight against oil theft and vandalism, and the NSCDC is committed to continuing its efforts to protect the country’s oil infrastructure and natural resources.
