Edo Police Launch Rescue Operation for Kidnapped Traditional Ruler

The Edo Police Command has launched a rescue operation to save the kidnapped traditional ruler of Udo-Eguare, His Royal Highness, Friday Ehizojie, Onojie. The command has deployed its tactical teams, including the Police Mobile Force, to comb the forest and rescue the victims.

The traditional ruler was abducted, along with a 21-year-old man, while riding a motorcycle on a lonely path. Unfortunately, the okada rider was shot dead during the ambush.

The Edo State Government has vowed to support the security agencies and local hunters in their efforts to rescue the victims. The government has also warned traditional rulers who harbor criminal elements in their domains that they will be held accountable.

The incident has sparked widespread condemnation, with many calling for increased security measures to prevent such attacks in the future.
