BREAKING: Edo Police Rescue 3 Kidnapped Travelers in Daring Operation!

In a thrilling turn of events, the Edo State Police Command has successfully rescued three kidnapped travelers who were abducted on January 29, 2025, along the Okhuesan-Ewohimi road. The victims, including a police officer, ASP Elisha Jeremiah, were traveling from Abuja to Onitsha in Anambra State when they were ambushed.

The police sprang into action, deploying a joint team of operatives from the Ubiaja Divisional Headquarters and other tactical teams to track down the kidnappers. Edo State Commissioner of Police, CP Betty Enekpen Isokpan Otimenyin, ordered the deployment of additional Police Mobile Force Personnel to ensure the safe rescue of the victims and arrest of the perpetrators.

Acting on intelligence, the police team, in collaboration with local hunters and vigilantes, mobilized to the Ugbebor area, where they successfully rescued the victims. The kidnappers abandoned their captives and fled as the police closed in.

The rescued victims, including Oyedele Ebenezer and Useni Malam Inusa, are currently receiving medical treatment and will soon be reunited with their loved ones. This daring operation demonstrates the Edo Police Command’s commitment to ridding the state of crime and ensuring the safety of its citizens.
